  • Guitar, TV, & Coloring XD

I'm growing calluses on my fingertips! lol. I took up guitar again after I saw a "Hands Down" acoustic video on YouTube.com. My left hand is swollen and an odd purple color. I wrote a song, teehee. For a certain someone, teehee. I'm a third into writing it; I have a first verse and a chorus. Maybe, if I don't get bored and forget about it, I'll put up a video.  I'm sure you're all dying to hear my screeching cat-like voice. Haha.

I'm still not done with Devil Beside You. I'm up to the second to last episode. The show only uses two songs throughout the whole series, haha. They use different versions of it [[like they played a string-version of the heavy rock song]] but you can tell it's the same thing. The guy smiles to the side of his face and the grandma looks like Mrs. Doubtfire. ..Needless to say, I've been watching it wayy too much.

I went to volunteer at Phelps today. It's never really busy during Sundays. We had a 1 South Alert today, though. Ooo, ahh right? ..Not really. Anyway, the other girl who came in for the next shift came early. She brought a coloring book and colored pencils, so for the last thirty minutes of my shift I was coloring. It was soo much fun.

I want a coloring book now..
Check out my awesome coloring skills, hahaha!!

    Isn't it purrrty? Haha.
I messed up on the guy's shoulder, but shh..
This is a picture of Hippolyte hearing that Hercules was coming.
lol. w00t, Mythology -- ya gotta love it.
Yay, almost done with that book too.

  • Happy 17th Birthday, Loren-ren!!

    Love,
    Andrea-moo-cow

    lol. Bahahaha!!

Poor Gil the Crab lost his job at Honda. Won't you help savethecrab.com?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've found a Taiwanese show that's keeping me preoccupied until the second season of Goong comes out -- or at least for the next couple days, haha. It's called Devil Beside You and it's not as sadistic as it sounds. Okay, it's a little kinky because a guy is trying to hook up with his future step-sister but they're not actually related. It stars Rainie Yang, haha. She's so pretty.  Anyway, YouTube.com it if you'd like.

WARNING: It has über sappy love story content.

  • Teletubbies

Today was, by far, one of the lovliest days I've had this summer.

Not for the wildness, but for the sentimental value.

I spent the morning and early afternoon with Tom and his mom at Long Pond. I got bit by a fish. Always a fun way to start the day! I finally have a bathing suit tanline on my upper body. For some reason I tanned my back and not the front last time. I tan so weirdly, haha.

From the time I got home to just a few minutes ago, I was out with Monica, Janet, and Kim. I love them so much.  They're like the half-Filipino/Latvian, Jewish, and Irish sisters I've always wanted. We went mini-golfing and ice-skating in Elmsford. I didn't think our area was cool enough to have a place to mini-golf, haha. Anyway, that was a lot of fun.

*Insert shout-out to Emma and Lisa [[because we met up with them]] here.*

We accidentally got "Teletubbies"-colored balls to play with, hahaha. Monica had a purple one -- Tinky Winky. Kimmy had a green one -- Dipsy. Of course, I had the yellow one -- LaLa. And Janet had the red one -- Po. [[Ok, so I know their names.. biig whoop, haha. I've seen the Boobah show and Dragon Tales too -- and I'm not ashamed to admit it!! Those were crazy programs -- especially Boobah. It's like an acid trip, I tell you. ]] Coincidentally, we went in order of the theme song too.

*breaks into song* Tinky Winky .. Dipsy .. LaLa .. Po. *unbreaks*

Anyway, lots of inside jokes and lots of memories.

"This probably used to be an abortion clinic."
    "Tink-Tank, Wink-Wank"
"I'll keep you my dirty little secret.." *caresses ball* lol.
"They used to use the metal headed ones but switched to rubber."
    "Mine's DRT." "Mine's DRT and 69."
"Yo, what up D-Pox!!" "Yay, I'm a vaccine!!"
"Well, Jews don't believe in hell so I'm good."
"A german sheperd ... jumped on my car ... I floored it."
    "Poor Trinity.."
    "Say hi to the moo-cows!!"
"Are those bales of hay?" "No, they're sheep." "Whoaa.."
"Annd.. that's our cue to leave."

Long story short, the Cotton Eye Joe just isn't
the same when done in the back seat of a car..

Oh, and Po is one violent mini-golfer.

[[Our version of the typical "feet shot" with our balls and sticks.]]

  • Cornell University

My family and I went up to Ithaca for the day.

We, of course, got lost. We were on the right route -- and only one exit away from our destination -- but my mom thought we had gone the wrong way. We went backwards and east. Luckily a nice, mountain-looking man helped us get back on track.

I went to go visit Cornell. I just made it to the 11 AM tour. My parents and brother were temporarily "missing" since they decided to park while I caught the tour.

It's a nice campus but I enjoyed Binghamton's tour better. Our tour guide did more storytelling than showing us our potential campus. She told us the story of how the founders are buried near the university chapel and help guide brides with cold feet down the aisle. She also went into how Willard Straight Hall is dedicated to a guy who had two goals in life: marry a beautiful woman and get rich. He did both at the same time by marrying the heiress to an oil company. When he died, his wife gave money to the university to build something "non-academic," so it's a recreation center. Oh, and about how a fifty pound pumpkin was found at the top of a one-hundred sixty-something foot clocktower.

She told us stuff like that and we didn't even visit the dormitories or the dining halls that she kept telling us were "the best." I think the only thing that got me really interested was her description of its Food Science class. For your final, you get to create your own ice-cream flavor. How sweet is that?!

On our way back, we stopped by Woodbury Commons. It was the second time I'd ever been -- sad, I know.  Anyway, I've found the store of my [[feet's]] dreams. They have a Saucony store there!! They have the coolest shoes.. Me wanty. I have the grey/light blue originals. I love them because no one really wears them around here. While they're wearing their Pumas, Converses, and Vans.. I have my Saucony. I can't find some of the ones I was looking at but here are a few I plan on getting soon:

    Saucony Originals Jazz Low Pro
Brown and pink is always a sexy combination.

Or just simple black and silver.

    Orange plaid is so in.

This would be a great shoe to have.. if I was Irish, haha. I'd get the plain green one, though. There was a red one I saw at the store. It had a heart where the clover is, but I can't seem to find an online picture.

    Anyone want to go shopping?!

  • lol.

I was bored and it looked interesting.
It's actually a lot of fun, haha.
Don't we look so much alike?
    Same head/body proportions!

I'm listening to Romeo et Juliette.
    The french musical version!
Buckley gave it to us as a present, I guess.
Who cares if I don't know what they're saying,
    it sounds good!

    Love,
    "Bighead"

  • Home at Last

Yay, Tom came home from Cape May today. To think, it's only been a week without him and I'm climbing up the wall of boredom and frustration. Anyway, welcome home!! I missed you so much. I love you.  Oh, and congratulations to your sister for getting engaged!! w00t!! There's gonna be a wedding, there's gonna be a wedding!!

In other news, I love how there are "boy chores" and "girl chores" in my house. I'm exempt from having to rake the leaves in the yard after my dad just had a "trimming the bushes" frenzy. I mean, I should be washing the dishes and stuff like that, but I'm pretty much exempt from that too because I'm so busy and frankly, my parents already know I wouldn't do it anyway. I've always wanted to mow the lawn though. I thought the lawn mower was the coolest thing, but then my dad was all like "Nah yo, John's supposed to do it." The whole sexist crap gets to me, so I just abstain from all chores.

I'm watching "V for Vendetta" and I have to say, it's really good. I like the whole "Old English"-esque way V speaks. People who use proper grammar would beg to differ and simply say that he speaks "correct" English and not the "Nukka say wha?! Ohhh, muthafu**a be wilin' fo' sho'!! Ya kna what I mean? El-oh-el" jargon -- Oh, AP English reference!! Tsh, did anyone not get a 2 or lower on that thing? -- we're used to. V kind of reminds me of Tom's friend Andrew. I definitely see him reciting quotes from renowned novels to make casual conversation. Actually, come to think of it.. The Lord of the Rings quotes have popped up during conversation a couple times. I haven't a clue what he's said so far, but I'm picking up little tidbits here and there to help me get the gist of what V's saying.

10:55 PM - Just found out that the actor who plays V is Hugo Weaving, who also played the Elven King Elrond in -- none other than -- The Lord of the Rings. What a small world..

  • New this, new that

    New layout. Pretty in pink.

New pic. Yes, I'm wearing a shirt. It's a tank.

New clothes. Went shopping with Radha last Saturday and it was amazing. No stalkers, thank goodness.. lol. I bought my first shirt from Hollister -- I know..  -- and bought a bunch of shirts from Aero -- they're all 50% off!! I depleted my bank account by half and my parents saw my bank statement.. ruh-roh. Anyway, so I've gotta make that back..

Scheduled my road test, but I'm angry about how late it is. I wish someone'd told me that you should schedule the test a month in advance sooner. Mine is September 6th.. at 9 AM. Geez, I'm not even half-awake at 10 AM.. Grr, and it's the day before school starts. Oh well, I guess it's better than having to wait additional days. If anyone has tips, by all means.. I'm open for them. I'm taking it at Yorktown and methinks that's where the infamous "Failing Gail" gives the tests? Fun fun..
