I just got back from my Road Test in Yorktown. I had a humming elderly guy named Gil. He was really chill and I passed. ..barely.
Here's the lowdown:
B. Turning & Intersections
-Poor judgement approaching at intersections: Turning
C. Parking, Backing & U-Turn
-Excessive space for parking/too far away from curb
-Excessive maneuvers in: Parking
Ok, so I made a semi-wide right turn towards the end. In fact, it
was my very last turn.. and I go wide. Just my luck.
I knew parallel was going to be an issue..
Even more so, of course all the UPS trucks decide to dispatch as I'm trying to do a broken U-turn. I had to wait for all twenty something trucks to pass by. It was the longest three minutes of my life. At one point he goes "Ahndreya, tha people do not know what we doing!" So I just go on the next opening. Once again, the luck of the Andrea strikes and there's this huge metal plate stretching from the curb and covering my lane as I'm turning left. Seeing no cars coming my way, I decide to go around it. Gil goes "Ahndreya, you ahr in tha other lane!" I go "I know, but I just didn't want to go over the big bump." Ugh.. smart me.
Would you have done the same?
Ok, well he goes "You passed, but I could have failed you." Of course you could've, you're the man. But he didn't cuz he's one righteous dude.
So: yay, huzzah, w00t and all that jazz. See you on the road!!
